Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Fulltime Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teachereither an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educatorto join our outstanding grammar school in Birmingham. About the Role

As a member of the Art Department you will:

  • Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 if experienced.
  • Plan and deliver engaging highquality lessons across a range of media including drawing painting printmaking and digital work.
  • Inspire students to think critically explore their creativity and take pride in their work.
  • Support student progress through thoughtful assessment feedback and tailored support.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department including art clubs exhibitions and enrichment opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually develop curriculum and share best practice.

What Were Looking For

We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Art Fine Art or Art & Design.
  • Are passionate about art education and skilled in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a creative studentcentred teaching approach.
  • Are committed to maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour in a selective academic setting.
  • Enjoy contributing to a collaborative department and wider school culture.
  • Have strong communication skills and a commitment to personal and professional development.
