Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Fulltime Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teachereither an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educatorto join our outstanding grammar school in Birmingham. About the Role
As a member of the Art Department you will:
- Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3 and 4 with opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 if experienced.
- Plan and deliver engaging highquality lessons across a range of media including drawing painting printmaking and digital work.
- Inspire students to think critically explore their creativity and take pride in their work.
- Support student progress through thoughtful assessment feedback and tailored support.
- Contribute to the wider life of the department including art clubs exhibitions and enrichment opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually develop curriculum and share best practice.
What Were Looking For
We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Art Fine Art or Art & Design.
- Are passionate about art education and skilled in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a creative studentcentred teaching approach.
- Are committed to maintaining high standards of achievement and behaviour in a selective academic setting.
- Enjoy contributing to a collaborative department and wider school culture.
- Have strong communication skills and a commitment to personal and professional development.
