Job Description:
The Fleet Mechanic / Oil and Lube Technician will repairs company fleet to meet DOT standards and to be dependable on public highways. You will inspect all fleet equipment for compliance and functionality making sure that all moving parts are wellgreased and help troubleshoot issues and participate in repairs. Passionate about safety and take pride in keeping our complex machinery running efficiently!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all equipment.
- Perform inspections of vehicles.
- Perform mechanical electrical and hydraulic repairs by troubleshooting and then repairing to specification.
- Perform minor repairs to equipment including but not limited to cutting welding changing tires and replacing lights.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Maintain records of repairs and enter into our work order system for tracking.
- Observes company policy procedures and all safety rules.
- Expected to perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1 years relevant mechanical experience or Vocational training.
- Possess strong mechanical abilities relative to fleet.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication cutting and welding.
- High competence on all truck/trailer systems.
- CDL license not required but preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Stooping bending and squatting
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 20 feet using all proper PPE
- Climb stairs frequently
- Lift weight up to 50 pounds
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Typical truck shop environment noise level can be high indoor/outdoor environment. Must be willing to work all shifts including overtime and weekends as needed.
