Job Description
If you have a passion for reinventing the shopping experience and you enjoy the thrill of building net new experiences from the ground up this position is for you. Amazon Haul is a shopping experience in the Amazon Shopping app that provides customers in the US a place to discover even more affordable fashion home lifestyle electronics and other products with ultralow prices with everything priced at $20 or less. This exciting discoverydriven CX is dedicated to products at ultraaffordable prices. The stores intuitive browsebased design and escalating discounts encourages exploration and larger basket sizes. Launched in November 2024 its still early days in the journey and the perfect time to join the team at the ground level.
We are seeking a tenured Principal Technical Program Manager with a deep technical background and a successful history of delivering highimpact multiorganizational and multiyear initiatives. This role is critical for driving the Amazon Haul shopping experience.
Key job responsibilities
You will define and deliver programs with significant complexity and/or that have broad crossorganizational global or technology impact.
Your work will focus on large engineering efforts that solve significantly complex or endemic problems.
You will be trusted to operate with complete independence and are often assigned to focus on areas where the business and/or architectural strategy has not yet been defined.
You effectively partner with all levels of leadership. You are adept at building consensus. You are able to represent verbally and in writing complex decisions tradeoffs and potential solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above to help them understand the decisions they have to make and what options they have.
You influence organization priorities system owners business and technology direction.
You manage crossfunctional communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs aligned.
You recognize when current programs are susceptible to prior technology failure patterns and actively steer teams to avoid repeating these failures.
7 years of technical product or program management experience
10 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of software development experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
8 years of handson work managing complex technology projects experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
