About the Role
- Assist optometrists during eye examinations by preparing patients and equipment.
- Conduct preliminary tests.
- Maintain an organised and efficient environment ensuring all equipment is clean and operational.
- helping patients with their lens and eyewear choices
- Prepare and dispense optical prescriptions including lenses and frames.
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage.
- Manage inventory of optical supplies placing orders as necessary.
- Handle patient records with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service addressing any patient inquiries or concerns.
- Previous experience in an optical setting or similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for record keeping and scheduling.
Schedule:
- Monday Friday
- Weekend availabilty
