Olympic College is seeking to hire a fulltime Maintenance Mechanic 4 position. The position supports the Colleges mission by performing Supervisory or expertlevel work in the maintenance repair remodeling alteration and construction of Olympic College buildings grounds facilities and equipment.
The Maintenance Mechanic 4 is a seniorlevel position responsible for supervising journeylevel trades workers and others engaged in maintenance repair and modifications to building mechanical equipment machinery special apparatus utilities and facilities. This includes but is not limited to laundry kitchen hospital laboratory elevator printing airconditioning power plant and heavy construction equipment. This role requires advanced technical expertise leadership in mentoring junior staff and the ability to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Conduct extensive maintenance & repairs
Monitor the safe and efficient operation of key plant equipment such as boilers air handlers chillers variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems air compressors and other HVACrelated systems.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma and/or equivalent
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials
Knowledge of safety protocols fire protection systems and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
Extensive experience in maintenance and repair of electrical mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
Excellent leadership communication and team coordination skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols fire protection systems and regulatory compliance.
Experience with communication tower rigging maintenance and safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Work setting including hazards:
Comfortable working in various conditions including confined spaces heights and inclement weather. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.

This is a fulltime classified position scheduled to work 40 hours a week with a salary range of$66012 $76608 annually.All classified positions will start their salary at Step A when you have completed six months of probation you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:
