Position Summary
The Multimedia Production Specialist Level 2 is responsible for the design development and delivery of innovative multimedia content for academic creative and promotional purposes. This role focuses on enhancing teaching learning and the overall university experience by utilizing emerging multimedia technologies and platforms in a collaborative environment. Duties And Responsibilities
Provide technical support and consultation to faculty and staff for the development delivery and presentation of multimedia materials with a focus on optimizing teaching learning and storytelling through various media formats. Engage with clients to develop and implement multimedia projects including outlining objectives and deliverables while addressing informal requests through the ticketing system promptly and efficiently. Collaborate closely with internal and external team members to create highquality multimedia deliverables that adhere to university standards and guidelines providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Oversee the creation and production of multimedia content for traditional classroom settings distance learning initiatives and promotional materials for the university. Manage all stages of video production including preproduction production postproduction and media delivery to deliver highquality content across multiple platforms such as social media and other distribution venues. Manage the editing and encoding/transcoding of media while ensuring seamless integration with the universitys enterprise lecture capture system (Mediasite). Research evaluate and implement emerging multimedia technologies and communication methodologies such as augmented reality (AR) virtual reality (VR) and other innovative solutions to improve the teaching and learning experience. Deliver training support and instruction for faculty using multimedia tools and technologies ensuring they have the necessary skills to incorporate multimedia content into their courses effectively. Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Formal Education Bachelors degree preferred; relevant certifications postsecondary coursework training and experience also considered Work Experience 3 years of experience in multimedia production with a focus on video audio and graphic design. 3 years editing and completing multimedia projects on nonlinear editors and relevant graphics packages 3 years completing endtoend video process from conceptualization to storyboarding filming and final editing 13 years crating academic training and/or informational materials Experience with both such as augmented reality (AR) virtual reality (VR) and video production Work Skills (e.g. written and verbal communication skills) Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Growth mindset to consistently learn and expand skills Specific Job Knowledge (e.g. knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area) Proficiency in using multimedia software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite Final Cut Pro and other industrystandard applications. Working experience in driving content creation (video audio graphics) and multimedia production (live recording lighting sound remote video) Strong understanding of emerging multimedia technologies platforms and trends including expertise in augmented reality (AR) virtual reality (VR) and their relevant development tools. Excellent communication project management and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced dynamic environment. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest advancements in multimedia production and technology. Strong writing skills including the ability to create effective scripts narrations and general correspondence concerning projects Equipment Knowledge Working knowledge of video/audio recording equipment and systems including professional camcorders DSLR A/V switchers and professional lighting Working knowledge of Windows PC and Apple/Mac hardware and industry standard classroom technologies inclusive of lecture capture web conferencing and recording equipment
