TheVeterinarySpecialty Center of Seattle (VSCS) is a 24hour Emergency andCritical Careand Specialty hospital. We offer a collaborative approach toveterinarymedicine. We support Emergency andCritical Care Neurology Surgery Internal Medicine Cardiology Oncology and Radiology all in one hospital. Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle islooking for Veterinary Assistants to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcarecommunity.
As a Veterinary Assistant youllplayan important rolein petslives byprovidingendtoend care for our precious patients. Your lifechanging work will range from the handson care offacilitatingoutpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care advocate for pets and educate clients.
- With each hospital functionassistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
- Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour states Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance onThrive Membershipoptions medications andadditionaltreatments.
- Assistinmaintainingrelevant comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients andmaintainmedical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques follow standard protocols and sustain clean sterile organized treatment areas exam rooms and labs.
- Be willing to guide mentor and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
* 2 years veterinary assisting / technician experience

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with anhourly pay rate starting at$23 $28 /hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location.
