ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES
Emergency Services Clinician
RACS is currently seeking a motivated qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training supervision and education opportunities specific to the position.

We have been providing services throughout Rockbridge and Bath counties and the cities of Lexington and Buena Vista since 1982.
Position Overview:
To provide crisis intervention services for individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance abuse crises. Essential functions of the position include completing preadmission screening facilitate hospital admissions and discharges provide crisis intervention and crisis counseling as needed provide motivational therapy or DBT modalities to individuals and families in crisis attend commitment hearings and assist with hospital discharge plans with clients. This position is MondayFriday 3:00pm12:00am with opportunities for oncall shifts and clinical supervision toward licensure.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in human services related field
- Two or more years post masters degree experience providing mental health and/or substance use services
- Licensed/licensed eligible in VA as a LPC LCSW or LCP
- The ability to function in a high paced and time pressured environment is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Working Knowledge of the DSM mental health and substance use assessments treatment crisis assessment and intervention strategies for clients of all ages
- Must be certified or eligible to be certified as a prescreener by the CSB and Virginia DBHDS.
