The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for aBarbackto join the Beach Shack team! Joinone of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a$400M renovationand expansion the resort is more stunning than ever.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a comparable support role such as Server Assistant or Food Runner.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego this 28acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms cottages and villas with 65000 square feet of banquet space and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants 2 bars a food truck marketplace ice cream shop and inroom dining.

Pay Rate:The pay rate for this role is $19.68 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

What will I be doing
As a Barback you would be responsible for preparing and servicing permanent and portable bars throughout the hotel in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. A valid Responsible Beverage Server Certification is required for this position. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Retrieve orders from storeroom visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and recheck stock upon delivery
- Prepare the bar by cutting slicing and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits mixing and pouring juices and storing backup supplies in prescribed containers
- Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include but not limited to paper products straws and stirrers condiments glassware ice and produce
- Transport taps and replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area beer lockers refrigerators and storage areas in accordance with federal state local and company codes
