Job Description

Job Title:

Senior Human Resources Business Partner

What youll do:

As a Senior HR Business Partner youll be responsible for supporting several large business units helping the management team to build and maintain a talented highly capable workforce. Youll be a generalist responsible for coaching and advising managers with a wide variety of human resources activities such as employee relations compensation performance management talent management and employment law compliance. One of your key responsibilities will be to build strong partnerships with your assigned business units and serve as their point person for all matters HR. This will be with the support of the broader HR department that includes recruiting HR operations talent development payroll and the benefits teams. Youll also advise employees on how they can resolve workplace challenges explore career development opportunities increase their engagement and effectiveness while simultaneously upskilling managers in support of the same.
  • Support the Director of Human Resources in helping to achieve the strategic objectives of the company and the Human Resources department. Advise managers and employees on the best practices for people leadership promote and administer the Banks HR policies and programs.
  • Serve as a thought partner and facilitator to resolve employee relations and performance management concerns of varying complexity. Review with employees engagement responses and activities. Conduct complex detailed investigations regarding ethical matters and partner with legal counsel on investigations and resolutions.
  • Assist with the production of reports and analysis for executive management and senior leaders. Analyze these reports to identify gaps and opportunities and support data driven decision making. Guide leaders and managers through change management processes to ensure successful deployment of policies programs and reorganization efforts.
  • Support and promote HR programs and partners within the HR teams: talent acquisition (job profile development and review candidate pool curating etc. talent development activities (succession planning career development workshops etc. workforce management (promotion and compensation request review etc..

What youll need:

  • Bachelors degree in related field required.
  • 5 years of direct HR business partner experience required.
  • Experience supporting corporate functions highly preferred.
  • Public company experience highly preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations rules and regulations industry standards and practices.
  • Intermediate Human Resources strategies for performance management recruiting talent development total rewards organizational effectiveness.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
  • SHRMCP preferred.
  • Occasional travel required.
