The Mental Health Associate is responsible for providing constant supervision and ensuring the safety of children and adolescents receiving therapeutic crisis respite services in a homebased center environment at all times. Assures program schedule is consistently implemented including conduction scheduled therapeutic recreational activities. Consistently and accurately writes clinical and administrative documentation as directed. Implements patient treatment plan strategies as directed by clinical protocols and under the supervision of clinical staff. Continually communicates with coworkers supervisors and other staff regarding patient care and safety. Safely and consistently manages difficult behaviors of the youth in care. Provides transportation if necessary. Monitors and documents medication administration assistance. The person in this position serves as a role model for all youth in regard to appearance interaction problem solving methodology personal accountability and demonstration of respect for others self and property. This is a new program that will continue to evolve; duties and responsibilities may change over time.
