Location: Cape Girardeau MO
FullTime NonExempt: MondayFriday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM.
Includes one late shift per week from 9:30 AM 6:00 PM with the option to choose either Tuesday or Wednesday. Flexibility is also required as needed.
Base Pay: $22.77 $25.07 (LPN); $27.52 32.40/hour (RN) Dependent upon previous Relevant Psychiatric Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing direct therapeutic and consultative psychiatric nursing duties; coordination and provision of medication injection clinics medication consultation and education to clients and family members and case consultation for CCC outpatients and area residential care patients.
Job Duties:
1. Coordinate and provide medication injection clinics.
2. Provide education services to clients family and/or caregivers as to medication usage side effects and adverse reactions.
3. Provide consultation to Group Homes.
4. Provide education and consultation to clinicians regarding clients medications side effects and adverse reactions.
5. Order inventory and maintain medication storage according to policies and procedures.
6. Promptly complete insurance prior authorizations for prescribed medications.
7. Give PPD tests to new employees and residential care patients as needed.
8. Promptly respond to client medication inquiries needs problems or side effects in effective manner consistent with practice standards.
9. Coordinate and administer metabolic screenings including testing lipid profile with glucose and HgbA1C in conjunction with Health Care Home as requested.
10. Due to the integration of the primary medical and psychiatric areas of care any duties related to either medical or psychiatric services within your scope of practice as requested by your supervisor.
11. Travel to other CCC Locations (Fredericktown Marble Hill Perryville and Ste. Genevieve) could be assigned for nursing coverage.
12. Document according to clinical policies and procedures DMH CARF and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
