Job Description

Position Summary

This is a remote position; however candidates must reside within 100 driving miles of Stamford CT.

As a key member of the Sales team the Business Manager coordinates project management of the merchandising display supply chain. The Business Manager drives contract deliverables such as project management document transfer and supplier collaboration. The Business Manager focuses on setting up programs for success and ensuring deliverables are being met both internally and externally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Team Member

  1. Manage the communication process across the project design development spectrum.
  2. Maintain a strong working understanding of the customers programs and provide all deliverables in a timely manner.
  3. Gain the trust of people both internally and externally with suppliers included by adhering to expectations.

Safety

  1. Promote and drive the relevance of the Crescent Safety culture with the Customer.
  2. Scrutinize the alignment of new programs and opportunities with being able to Do it Safe.
  3. Evaluate potential risk on programs as they develop.

Quality

  1. Build trust with the customer establishing strong and open relationships where our customer is a stakeholder in our longterm success.
  2. Generate maintain and distribute accurate timely customer and supplier partner reports including a Project Tracker.
  3. Receive and analyze customer project requests ensuring all specifications including costing are captured and tracked accurately.
  4. Proactively resolve any internal or supplier issues that may arise.
  5. Ensure the total integrity and timeliness of all data and inputs required for Customer Crescent and Crescent partners operating and planning systems.

Productivity

  1. Provide detailed reporting and updates by maintaining a master project tracker.
  2. Validate merchandising structures for promotional concepts in order to determine cost analysis for moving forward and present to the Sr. Business Manager.
  3. Assist in any meetings to provide additional insight on a program for deliverables both internally and externally.

People

  1. Be versed on Crescents People strategy and how it positively impacts our customer and supplier partner.
  2. Build and maintain strategic alignment between the customer supplier partner corporate support teams and plant/operating teams.

Customer Value

  1. Attend customer briefings and meetings for all new projects and work directly with any customer vendors and their Agencies to capture relevant changes/updates to specifications and timelines.
  2. Drive effective communications and updates between our customer and their vendors our supplier partner and our site management and support teams ensuring open and transparent lines of communication.
  3. Liaise with Crescent site and Crescent supplier partners sites to ensure all stakeholders have the latest information in regard to a project.

Financial

  1. Ensure pricing is captured on time and accurately.
  2. Confirm pricing is competitive and is in line with the contractual rate card.

All other duties as assigned including but not limited to the identification and training of an individual capable of successfully completing all stated Key Responsibilities as appropriate to maintain integrity of position for progression planning and coverage during times of absence.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Experience managing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies promotional design and project management
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Operational experience and/or Associates Degree may be substituted for Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and marketing skills
