We are looking for a Director Energy Transition Champion (Utilities) to join our team in one of todays most exciting technologies. This role will report to Sr Dr Energy Transition Champion and is based in VA..

Role Summary/Purpose

The Director Energy Transition Champion (Utilities) is part of the organization that provides technical advisory service to customers for them to evaluate best technology alternatives for their own decarbonization journey. The ETS team also provides their expertiseto the Bloom sales team to develop a pipeline of opportunities takes on the responsibility of early positioning and up to the commercialbid submission.

Essential responsibilities

  • Proactively promote and positionBloom technologies early in the project phase to create value and influence by working closely with consultants developers EPCs Industry OEM partners and customers
  • Provide technical expertiseto Sales and Commercial operations team in selecting implementing and developing competitive product applications
  • Estimate Bloom and competitive equipment system performance and hardware evaluation throughoutthe bid process. CollectVoice of Customer (VoC) and Voice of Market (VoM) on the value of bloom solutions and support new product introduction activities
  • Influence customers to understand and recognize the full economicvalue that Bloom solutions provide. Understand Energy/Power market structures pricing mechanisms and policy that impact the customer value proposition.
  • Develop region and segment specificcollateral to sell the value of our offerings to the customers. Gather and analyze competitive feedback in the regions to improve our understanding of value differentiation in the eyes of our customers.

Qualifications and desired characteristics

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in an engineering field from an accredited university or college; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience of power generation technology i.e. Gas Turbines reciprocating engines Battery storage wind and solar in different roles and ability to articulatethe value proposition to customers
  • Experience in working with utilities for their power generation needs and deep understanding of the utilities RFP / RFQ process.
  • Background in energy related technology and solutions. Ability to assess impactof price schedule configuration and performance decisions on customers market and investors
  • Ability to articulatethe value proposition to customers
  • Experience with economic lifecycle modeling and understanding of local energy markets
  • Strong skills in the areas of collaboration communication and critical thinking are critical
  • Leading teams and managing people

Frequent travel will be required both domestic and international. This position is remote. The listed locations are preferred; however the position can be anywhere in Southeastern or Midwestern states.

Salary Ranges:

$164000.00 $246000.00
