A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DEADSTOCK DRIVER

As a Deadstock Driver you will be responsible for picking up dead hogs cattle and meat ss from farm sites on a daily route. As our customers range in size from farmers to feedlots to largescale slaughterhouses. Driving a straight truck or a tractortrailer you will collect materials from multiple customers along your route each day.

You will manage your route with an onboard computer (OBC) and also keep an uptodate paper log for compliance purposes. Taking responsibility for your truck you keep it clean and complete a vehicle condition report on a daily basis. You will provide exceptional professional service to all customers while following all laws & regulations. You will love getting to hit the road for a living while still being at home every night.

Minimum Qualifications for a Deadstock Driver

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Good driving record
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Class A or B CDL drivers license.
• Must be registered on Qualifications
  • Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
  • Experience with truck hydraulics a plus.
  • Communicates clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Highly organized; superior time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure in difficult situations; adaptable to changing situations.
  • Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.
  • Ability to pass preemployment physical and drug screen.
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide whole numbers.

  Physical Demands

  • Must be able to handle outside elements summer heat and winter cold.
  • Constantly required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
  • Frequently required to sit for extended periods.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally push pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work weekends and/or Overtime as need.
