Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals (OCDP) Board certifies and licenses professionals who demonstrate additional education and experience in treating those with substance use disorders. The Administrative Professional 3 (Education Coordinator) plays an important part at the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professional Board. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the boards continuing education (CE) monitoring system.
- Creating and updating manuals and policies for providers.
- Communicating with potential and current educational providers.
- Conducting educational provider audits and awarding educational provider status.
- Guiding staff conducting sponsor approvals and certificate/license audits and assisting when necessary.
- Preparing correspondence for certificate/license holders and CE providers.
- Administering the Chemical Dependency Professionals (CDP) college endorsements for all degree programs to ensure that degree programs meet acceptable levels of standards and are applicable toward board licensure/certification.
- Assisting the Education and Training committee to assess and award endorsements.
- Communicating with universities and colleges regarding education requirements.
- Creating all documentation for endorsements and maintaining records.
- Communicating endorsement programs with board license examiners.
- Building relationships with colleges and universities to understanding certification /licensing requirements for applicants.
- Creating and delivering presentations to college students.
- Working with applicable associations and organizations such as Ohio Counseling Association (OCA) National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Ohio Coaching and Mentoring (OCAM) in communicating board requirements.
- Maintaining documentation for administrative and fiscal policy and procedures to include employee handbook Board bylaws reconciliation of revenue and refunds.
- Preparing board meeting communications and minutes.
- Compiling all licensing reports and revenue reports.
- Approving pcard transactions.
- Maintaining asset management records.

- Providing backup assistance as necessary to examiners reviews and verifying incoming information regarding applications for licensure certification or renewal.
- Identifying problems reviewing for accuracy completeness and acceptability contacting applicants and/or licensees regarding submitted materials or obtaining additional information.
- Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college; 12 months experience in secretarial/administrative professional field.
- Or 30 months experience or 30 months training in secretarial/administrative professional field.
- Or 12 months experience as Administrative Professional 2 16872.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
