General Function
The Supply Chain Logistics Intern is a support role for the Logistics team with exposure to multiple operational teams and processes. Support daytoday logistics operations optimizing processes and learn about transportation and distribution systems. Gain professional work experience in a fastpaced dynamic environment while learning about the logistics and supply chain industry.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist with coordination monitoring and tracking of shipments order tracking and communication with vendors and carriers
- Assist with data entry report generation and maintaining tracking records for shipments and deliveries
- Monitor and evaluate logistics operations to ensure compliance with Company policies and regulations
- Help identify and resolve issues related to shipping delivery and inventory discrepancies
- Analyze data to drive efficiencies using all applicable tools: Microsoft Office Google Freight Payment & Audit data etc.
- Identification and development of routing synergies that reduce cost improve delivery reliability and/or increase the velocity of product
- Research and identify costsavings and service improvement opportunities with our carriers
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to process improvements
- Review and audit freight invoices for accuracy
- Summarize reports organize materials and present findings conclusions and recommendations to the leadership team

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled and working to complete a Bachelors degree in program related to Supply Chain Logistics Engineering or related field
- Ability to read and write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information to peers and management
- Solid critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create formulas vlookups and pivot tables
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Ability to calculate simple math percents and ratios.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

- This position requires the associate to regularly stand walk and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk hear and lift up to 50 pounds; and occasionally sit stoop kneel crouch crawl reach above shoulders and use the foot to operate a machine to lift more than 100 pounds
- The position also requires the associate to regularly use electronic scanning devices.
- The position requires the use of manual and mechanical equipment as needed. Training/certification will be provided as needed.
- While performing the responsibilities of this position the associate will occasionally be exposed to sheltered weather conditions and unheated/nonairconditioned spaces fumes or airborne particles and the limited risk of electrical shock.
- The level of noise in the working environment is moderate to loud.
- Protective clothing and/or equipment used in this position includes ear protection eye protection gloves and steeltoed shoes
- Vision requirements include close and distance vision.
- This position requires regular use of a computer copier and other standard office equipment.
- The level of noise in the officeworking environment is quiet.
- This level of noise in the warehouse environment is moderate to loud
