Job Description: The Arcadia University Department of Physical Therapy is currently recruiting for 2 full time 12month tenuretrack faculty positions. The department offers an entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree with both residential and hybrid pathways a dual degree with public health (DPT/MPH) and multiple postprofessional DPT programs including Orthopedic and Sports Residencies a PhD in Movement Science and a MS in Rehabilitation Science. We are ranked among the top physical therapy programs in the country.

Responsibilities:
Physical therapists or rehabilitation scientists with academic doctorates and a wellconceived research agenda are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with neuroscience or musculoskeletal biomechanics expertise or with research agendas in any area judged to be synergistic with current faculty interests and potential for securing extramural funding. Capacity and interest in mentoring PhD students also preferred. Capable effective teaching in areas of content expertise is expected and occurs within a highly integrated curriculum. The faculty is committed to working in a collegial environment that values scholarship and professional service. Physical therapist applicants must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The positions will remain open until filled.
The entrylevel curriculum is highly integrative with specific content presented in 3week modules organized around a case example or focus area. The curriculum is designed to move from simple to complex and to allow for repetition of concepts with increasing depth of knowledge. Thus teaching responsibilities will be tailored to the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the curriculum. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in ongoing curriculum implementation and evaluation; serve on universitywide committees; advise students; and maintain an active research agenda.
Qualifications:
Academic doctorate (PhD or equivalent);
Content and practice expertise in defined areas of practice;
Physical therapist licensed in PA or eligible for license in PA (preferred);
If nonphysical therapist well defined content expertise in a related area of rehabilitation science (eg neuroscience biomechanics epidemiology);
Demonstrated record or clear potential for scholarship
