POSITION SUMMARY

Are you in search of an opportunity to work behind the scenes and provide support to a team of attorneys in the litigation practice area Do you have project management skills to manage and juggle numerous tasks and provide seamless service in order to help team members achieve their goals Then our opening for a Litigation Practice Specialist is the opportunity for you. This role is essential to the litigation practice group in order for the team to run efficiently and effectively. The position will assist with administrative tasks as well as preparing reports relative to financial data attorney utilization costs and pricing and tracking of client related matters.

The Litigation Practice Specialist provides support to the Litigation Practice Directors and Senior Litigation Marketing and Branding Manager by handling essential administrative and operational duties to help achieve the Litigation Practice Groups business goals. The Litigation Practice Specialist works closely with other members of the Litigation Group including the Chair the Litigation Management Committee and other timekeepers and business staff. This role is responsible for providing seamless quality service supporting a cohesive team across all offices and demonstrating exceptional discretion in handling highlevel sensitive and confidential matters.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Handles all logistical responsibilities for practice group meetings trainings and events including drafting agendas preparing presentations scheduling issuing of calendar appointments catering and similar tasks.
  2. Provides administrative support to Litigation Practice Directors and Senior Litigation Marketing & Branding Manager including coordinating calendars and travel check requests expense reporting meeting and event scheduling and coordination and other administrative tasks as needed.
  3. Assists in the preparation maintenance and retention of practicerelated documents including correspondence meeting agendas business plans task lists databases and practice reports.
  4. Maintains group intranet site and repository of relevant practice management information.
  5. Assists with the development tracking and analysis of departmentspecific reporting including but not limited to budgets financials timekeeper hours engagement trackers PTO Calendar.
  6. Assists with other ad hoc and special projects associated with Department administration and processes as needed.
  7. Collaborates with various teams to prepare the Departments regular reporting including financial data attorney utilization and ad hoc reports as necessary.
  8. Facilitates the billing and collection processes and client intake process for client case and pricing approvals.
  9. Actively works with the Client Value Team billing partners and case teams to prepare track and produce regular reports for clients and support efficient case management and reporting.
  10. Partners with the Client Value Team and Litigation Practice Directors to ensure appropriate processes are followed for conflicts matter openings and pricing approvals.
  11. Participates in ongoing data integrity efforts.
  12. Supports the Senior Litigation Marketing & Branding Manager with coordination and completion of ranking submissions i.e. Chambers Legal 500 and Benchmark Litigation.
  13. Assists with tracking and coordination of quantitative metrics to measure brand awareness lead generation thought leadership and content engagement.
  14. Ensures consistency of litigationfocused marketing content across all messaging digital channels printed materials survey submissions and communications.
  15. Provides support to departmentdriven initiatives such as the experience collection process attorney bio updates award and directory tracking and other related ad hoc requests.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Litigation Practice Specialist must have a Bachelors Degree. 24 years of directly related experience in operations or practice management in a law firm or professional services environment is highly preferred. A high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint) is required. The Litigation Practice Specialist must demonstrate selfmotivation drive to action flexibility enthusiasm critical thinking attention to detail organizational skills strong communication skills both written and verbal and excellence in quality work. Exceptional judgment professionalism and topnotch client service both internally and externally is required. This individual must be comfortable working independently as well as on a team and collaborate effectively across offices and practice areas. Must be able to build relationships and gain the trust of the attorneys work with people at all levels within the firm prioritize and manage time effectively and maintain a high level of confidentiality.


The salary range for this position is $75K to $95K.

Please note that quoted salary ranges are based on Beneschs good faith belief at the time of the job posting and are not a guarantee of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that Benesch provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Fulltime positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
