The Opportunity:
The Corporate Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst will be responsible for overseeing the annual beginning balance process monthly journal entry preparation and monthly inventory and OPACC reporting packages. Additional responsibilities include support of enterprise accountable methodology and analysis and review of certain externally reported information including the quarterly earnings release and elements of the 10Q/10K. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic fastpaced environment where your work will be highly visible at all levels of the company.

What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and executing the annual beginning balance process
  • Financial accounting including preparation of journal entries and segment footnote disclosures for Caterpillar SEC filings
  • Prepare key monthly reporting packages for management
  • Help maintain the reporting methodologies for Caterpillars segment reporting
  • Drive improvements and efficiencies in financial analysis and reporting processes
  • Partner across the enterprise to support key projects related to Global Finance strategy initiatives

What You Have:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelors Degree within Accounting Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes methods and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Summary Pay Range:

$95640.00 $143520.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjobrelated knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
