Reporting to the Area Manager II Inbound & Facilities the Facilities Technician Level I will assist with the daytoday fulfillment building operations and upkeep. These tasks include but are not limited to completion of facilities tickets forklift maintenance conveyor maintenance general repairs and preventative maintenance.
Year 1 is going to be about:
- Complete facilities tickets as assigned meeting the established KPIs
- Preform general building upkeep repair and installation for areas including but not limited to preventative maintenance forklifts conveyors bailers racking air compressors & workstations.
- Assist with building projects repairs and maintenance
- Ownership of Facilities area including facilities area building cleanliness Facilities van and facilities tools/equipment
- Work with standard 110/120v electrical units. May be asked to move outlets work in panels install/move conduit.
- All other duties as assigned
We cant skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a must to be successful. So we need you to have:
- High School diploma or equivalent education preferred
- Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certificate (i.e. electrical controls plumbing welding etc. or equivalent experience preferred
- Basic understanding of compressors and compressed air lines
- Basic understanding of hydraulics
- Possess knowledge of AC and DC electricity including resistance volts watts
- Possess strong prioritization skills and be able to make decisions independently
- Possess strong organizational skills and have the ability to oversee the timely completion of multiple tasks daily
- Basic understanding of Lock Out Tag Out & energy control procedures
- Basic knowledge of computer skills including Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to operate power equipment e.g. Reach truck electric pallet jack order pickers etc.
- Working knowledge of standard building codes and safety regulations
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
