Join STVs growing North Carolina team! STVs North Carolina operation is seeking a Structural Engineering Specialist (Bridge Design) to join our collaborative team in the Charlotte NC office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on impactful transportation projects while learning from seasoned engineers and gaining handson experience in both design and construction support.
What Youll Do:
- Perform structural design and analysis for bridges retaining walls culverts and other transportationrelated structures
- Develop construction documents including drawings specifications and calculations
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) during construction
- Conduct field inspections and contribute to structural assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on planning design and construction projects
- Participate in meetings with clients and stakeholders and help prepare presentation materials
What Were Looking For:
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with structural engineering concepts and analysis methods
- Exposure to design software such as MicroStation AutoCAD OpenRoads or Civil3D
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Strong desire to learn solve realworld problems and contribute to communityfocused projects
Bonus Points for:
- EngineerinTraining (EIT) certification
- Prior experience with Microstation
- Prior design experience or internships
Compensation Range:
