Requirement
My client are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Fire Protection Surveyor to join their team. As a Fire Protection Surveyor you will be responsible for inspecting evaluating and documenting the condition of fire doors and passive fire protection within various buildings to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of fire doors and passive fire protection in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Evaluate the condition of fire doors and identify any deficiencies or noncompliance issues
- Document and report findings including maintenance requirements and necessary repairs
- Provide recommendations for improving fire door safety and compliance
- Collaborate with construction teams architects and engineers to ensure proper installation and maintenance of fire doors
- Stay updated on fire safety regulations and industry best practices
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to explain findings and recommendations
Daytoday
- Conducting onsite inspections of fire doors in various buildings
- Using specialized equipment and tools to assess the condition of fire doors
- Documenting findings and preparing detailed reports
- Collaborating with construction and maintenance teams to address any issues identified
- Communicating with clients and stakeholders to provide recommendations and updates on fire door and passive fire protection compliance
- Staying current with industry regulations and best practices through ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fire door inspections and surveying within the construction industry
- Indepth knowledge of fire protection systems fire stopping and FIRAS certification
- Familiarity with construction roles and quantity surveying in the context of fire safety
- Strong understanding of building codes and fire safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire safety and door inspection are preferred
