Grade: UE0per annum prorata if part time plus 5 Premium Band for flexible working

CSG/Accommodation Catering and Events Property

Fixed term: 26 May 2025 to 14 September 2025

Hours of work: 20 35 hours per week positions available working on a 5 over 7 basis including weekends and varied shift patterns typically between 8am 6pm.

The Opportunity:

This summer Pollock Halls of Residence will welcome visitors from around the globe. We are seeking individuals to join our busy housekeeping team. You will be crucial in providing a flexible customerfocused service across our accommodation playing a key role in maintaining excellent standards of cleaning and customer care for all our visitors and guests.

As a Summer Domestic Assistant/Cleaner you will be responsible for servicing & ensuring our bedrooms and communal areas are cleaned set up and serviced to hotel standards. You will also assist in the distribution & counting of linen as well as setting up and maintaining supplies required to service rooms.

While previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred it is not essential. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn quickly in a fastpaced environment. You should be capable of delivering exceptional housekeeping and customer service to maintain our high standards of cleanliness and ensure our guests have a comfortable stay.

Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential along with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse range of colleagues and customers.

Please note that this role requires weekend work on a rota basis for the duration of your contract.

You must be able to commit to the entire fixed term period of employment.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shift patterns and hours including evenings weekends and peak seasonal periods as required by business operations
  • Experience in providing outstanding cleaning / housekeeping services
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions & communicate in a professional manner
