Position:NX CAD Designer (Contract)
Location:Onsite Montreal QC
Department:M&P and Liaison Engineering
About the Role:
A leading aerospace company is seeking an experiencedNX CAD Designerspecializing inStandard Parts and Reuse Librariesfor a 6month contract. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring that standard aerospace components are accurately modeled and easily accessible within the companys CAD libraries. This position requires onsite work in Montreal and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of nextgeneration aircraft systems.
Responsibilities:
- Model and releasestandard aerospace components including NAS fasteners within the CAD system.
- Ensure adherence to best practices forpart modeling and standardization suggesting improvements where needed.
- Collaborate closely withMaterials & Process teams Design teams Configuration Management and Supply Chainto support hardware standardization.
- Maintain and update thereuse libraryto ensure accuracy and efficiency in the design process.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Certificationin a Design/Drafting program.
- Minimum 5 yearsof experience as amechanical CAD DesignerusingSiemens NX(or 3 years with a Masters degree).
- Proficiency inSiemens TeamCenter PLM.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Experience withWindowsbased applications(spreadsheets word processing etc..
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience withparametric modeling Part Families and BIM Reuse libraries in NX.
- Knowledge ofModelBased Design (MBD)andProduct Manufacturing Information (PMI).
- Understanding ofASME Y14.5M2018dimensioning and tolerancing standards.
- Experience withCAD data translation(IGES DXF STP).
- Familiarity withaerospace COTS hardware specifications(NAS AN MS).
