Who You Are:
As a Store Supervisor at the ReStore youll play an essential part in ensuring smooth daily operations while contributing to an engaging and efficient shopping experience. Youll plan and execute daily tasks maintain a clean and safe environment and work alongside staff and volunteers to keep the store running seamlessly. From overseeing the sales floor and receiving dock to maintaining public spaces youll anticipate and prioritize the days needs to keep everything on track.
In this role youll focus on providing excellent customer and donor service engaging with volunteers answering productrelated questions and processing donations. Youll also help create a visually appealing and wellorganized store by maintaining stocked shelves and crafting attractive product displays. With a teambuilding mindset youll thrive in a collaborative setting and remain committed to ensuring a positive experience for all who visit the store.
This physically active position involves assisting with loading unloading and stocking materials as well as lifting and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs. with assistance). Youll also learn to operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.

You will be responsible for:
- Collaborate with the Store Leadership team to plan and execute daily action items.
- Train and onboard new Team Members and Volunteers demonstrating efficient operations in all store areas.
- Plan and prioritize daily tasks for both the sales floor and receiving areas delegating responsibilities to staff and volunteers as needed.
- Effectively work in all subdepartments of the store including the donation dock cash register sales floor and warehouse.
- Create and maintain visually appealing interactive and wellmerchandised displays.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness in all areas of the store including the receiving dock sales floor break room restrooms and outdoor spaces maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
- Build strong relationships with volunteers who are essential to the stores operations and provide ongoing support reviews and followup.
- Greet and assist customers and donors handling tasks such as loading and unloading materials at the donation dock.
- Manage the opening and closing of the store including setting up and closing cash tills.
- Operate the forklift when required such as when unloading deliveries loading customer vehicles or moving merchandise especially when serving as the sole leader on duty.
- Support the Donation Pickup Team for residential and business pickups as part of the weekly schedule if needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role you will possess**:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- At least 2 years of staff management and oversight experience.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and volunteers while following leadership direction.
- Experience in general maintenance comparable to handymanlevel expertise
- Proven ability to supervise guide and support staff and volunteers.
- Excellent time management and workload efficiency including punctuality accurate reporting of hours.
- Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn the use of tools and
- Willingness to learn the use of equipment such as forklifts electric pallet jacks and dollies
- Proficiency in communication tools such as telephone email and twoway radios.
- Adaptability to changing work environments and tasks.
- Eagerness to learn new operational skills as the program evolves
- Ability to take on a leadership role when needed.

**Any combination of formal education paid work experience unpaid/volunteer experience and life experience will be considered.
To be considered above and beyond the average candidate in this role youll also:
- Experience in volunteering or managing volunteers.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Forklift operator certified by OSHA supported training program
- Any qualifying combination of education certification and experience demonstrates the ability to perform the positions duties.
Your work environment and physical demands:
- You will spend your workday in an open warehouse and retail environment.
- Assisting customers and handling donations is very active and requires consistent standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing.
- This means you will frequently lift move and/or load items over 50 pounds with mechanical or coworker assistance.
Your Work Schedule:
- 40 hours a week potentially including Saturday and Sunday as required by your manager.
- Current store hours: Wednesday Monday 10am6pm Tuesday 11 am 6 pm.
- Shifts may be scheduled to accompany donation pickups providing a variety of work experiences.
- Your assigned store location may occasionally change temporarily for training or support purposes; however these changes are rare and will remain within the Portland region
Your Compensation:

We determine the best possible compensation offer based on base qualifications relevant experience internal equity and the candidates competencies for the role demonstrated during the hiring process. Successful candidates are typically hired within the first half of the Pay Range and receive scheduled incremental increases. When starting in this position your compensation will generally be between $19.13/hour to wage range midpoint of $22.74/hour. The full range for this position is $19.13/hour to $26.78/hour.
