Position: Field Services Engineer for T38 Escape System

LOCATION: Fort Worth TX

Job Purpose:

MartinBaker America is seeking a Field Services Engineer for our T38 Escape System Program. This individual will serve as a technical liaison between the company and the customer ensuring the maintenance and support of company products. They will provide direct support to the customer in developing engineering changes conducting engineering investigations and installing new equipment. The Field Services Engineer will evaluate proposed changes to technical manuals offering feedback and recommendations to both the company and customers. Additionally they will maintain a comprehensive set of test equipment to meet customer requirements and provide supply support including assistance in resolving spare part shortages


Primary Responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the company point of contact between the company and customer including individual operating units.
  • Provide technical support on both seats and seat test equipment.
  • Provide technical support for change development failure investigations and installation activities.
  • Keep the company informed on potential issues from the customer concerning product performance.
  • As directed maintain and distribute spare parts for seats and seat test equipment.
  • Coordinate efforts with technical and customer personnel to resolve issues.

Experience/Education:

The Field Service Engineer position requires a minimum of four years military experience in the support and maintenance of ejection seats knowledge of MartinBaker Aircraft Company history and products or a minimum of four years experience in aircraft maintenance.

This position requires an understanding of the maintenance of ejection seat systems from component replacement to overhaul including removal and reinstallation of seats into aircraft and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.


Specific requirements:

  • Field Service Engineers must be Ejection Seat qualified via Military Service or OEM specific Ejection Seat Training School.
  • US Security clearance will be required to Secret level or above
  • Must have the ability to accurately understand and interpret product drawings and specifications of moderate complexity.
