BTI Security is accepting applications forFulltime and Parttime Armed Protective Service Officers (PSO)inSouth Carolina. This is designated as an Essential position. BTI Security seeks to hire a high caliber of security officers who demonstrate professionalism and a solid commitment to protecting and securing our sites staff and clients. BTI Security will be offering a referral bonus for the FPS SC contracts a $250.00 per referral once the new hire has met their 90 days probationary period.
Job Skills / Requirements
- Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
- Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
- Monitoring surveillance cameras for any disruptions or unlawful activities
- Providing detailed reports on daily activities and/or incidents that may have occurred.
- Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and Xray machines.
- Using provided communication devices such as twoway radios in a clear and concise manner
- Leverages excellent listening and service skills in emergency response and evaluation procedures
- Performing CPR or first aid when needed
- Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Be a United States citizen; or a Lawful Permanent Resident who is currently a member of or who possesses a verifiable honorable discharge from any component of the United States Armed Forces (Army Air Force Navy Marines Coast Guard)
- Been issued a Social Security Card by the Social Security Administration which bears the individuals name and social security number
- Have verifiable documentation of one experience and one education level listed below:
- A minimum of two 2 years of experience (armed) security experience or one 1 year of law enforcement experience in a fullduty status with a fullservice police department in a municipality state or federal law enforcement department within the US.
- A minimum of two 2 years as a member of any US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge
- Received at minimum either a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Shall fluently speak read comprehend English and be able to compose written reports in English
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a customer servicedriven mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
- Must be trainable and able to display proficiency in firearms (pistol) intermediate weapons (OC spray and expandable baton) and First Aid CPR AED
Physical Demands:
- PSOs shall be physically able to perform tasks in performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking standing sitting and stooping up to twelve 12 hours per day either indoors or outdoors
- Ability to remain on post up to four 4 consecutive hours without sitting eating or receiving a break
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12hours with ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
