SDOT is excited to offer a dynamic opportunity as an Associate Transportation Planner under the citys classification of Transportation Planner Associate with our Project Development Division supporting the Bike & Community Projects team. In this impactful role you will be a key contributor to the Neighborhood Initiated Safety Partnership Projects Program helping to equitably gather review and build communityrequested transportation improvements. You will participate in the planning scope development and conceptual design of neighborhood transportation projects such as new sidewalks pedestrian crossings safety improvements and public space enhancements. This position will also support the planning and development of public bike parking bike spot improvements and other bike safety projects. Minimum Qualifications:
Education:Bachelors degree in engineering Urban Planning Transportation Planning.
Experience: Requires a minimum of two years of Transportation Planning or Development experience.
OR:An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the positions duties.
Though not requirements strong candidates will have some of the following experience or can describe comparable experience:
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is typically performed in a hybrid work environment in which a minimum of 3 days of the work is completed in a City office and 2 days of the work is completed remotely in a regular 40hour work week.Your application will not be reviewed if these items are missing or incomplete.

The Citys full salary range for this position is $ 52.13 $ 60.71 per hour.
