AMET Payments Tech Team is looking for passionate and talented software engineers who have experience building innovative critical high volume applications that customers love. This is a high visibility team where you will get a chance to make a positive impact on customer experience. The Senior SDE will be based in Chennai India and must have Software engineering experience involving designing and solving complex problems.

To achieve this vision we are in search of a talented technical engineer and craftsman who builds robust software that scales as well as clientfacing features which are intuitive and simple to use.

Our team takes a world view of payments for all of Amazon and builds highly customized and seamless payment experiences for our global customers. This focus on geography and customer requires working on different technologies & backend systems in order to meet the needs of our customers. Our backend systems are always available and guarantee that our customers orders are never lost and always processed even when downstream services are down.

You are someone who will enjoy the challenge of working on complex and highly disparate technologies from frontend to backend highly distributed systems. You are securityconscious and continually analyze software for potential threats to safeguard customer trust. A day in the life
Work with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide compelling capabilities for our customers.
Work closely with SDEs Sr SDEs and SDMs to develop the best technical approach for new product development to solve business problems.
. Instill best practices for software development and documentation and deliver highquality work on tight schedules.
Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance durability cost and security.
Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.
Write high quality distributed system software.
Work in an agile startuplike development environment where you are always working on the most important stuff.
Stay abreast of industry trends technologies new services and make recommendations for technology improvements that will help shape the future of podcast delivery architectures
Deliver ProofofConcepts and proposals for integrations with emerging technologies
. Operational Excellence monitoring & operation of production services.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
5 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
5 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team

5 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
