DATA ANALYTICS & RESEARCH INTERN

SUMMARY:
Zermount Inc. is seeking a motivated Data Analytics & Research Intern to support our Business Development (BD) and Cybersecurity teams. This is an exciting opportunity to gain handson experience at the intersection of data analytics federal contracting and cybersecurity strategy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct research on federal procurement trends agency forecasts competitors and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
- Support data collection and analysis to identify BD opportunities and inform pursuit decisions.
- Assist in building dashboards reports and visualizations to track BD pipeline metrics and operational performance.
- Analyze cybersecurity market intelligence and help align Zermounts capabilities with federal needs.
- Contribute to proposal and capture efforts by supporting datadriven sections and visual content.
- Organize and summarize large datasets from sources like FPDS USASpending and internal systems.
- Support creation of business case analyses and whitepapers with evidencebased insights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics Cybersecurity Business Public Policy or a related field (Junior Senior or Graduate level preferred).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Experience with Excel Power BI Tableau or similar tools.
- Familiarity with federal agencies cybersecurity topics or government contracting a plus.
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- SQL Python or R for data manipulation (a plus but not required).
- Familiarity with government databases (e.g. FPDS ).
- Interest in public sector cybersecurity or IT consulting.
LOCATION:
- Zermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington Virginia.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
- 8:00 am EST 6:00 pm EST.
