Job Description
We are a small familyrun company based in Derby Derbyshire Nottingham chesterfield and mansfield seeking experienced and hardworking HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team.
About the role:
Join us as an HGV Class 1 Driver in Mansfield Nottingham and you will be the face of SLD Recruitment out on the road making sure to always be professional and make a good impression with our loyal customers.
Your Job Role:
Youll be driving HGV lorries in and around Mansfield Nottingham and throughout the UK.
This can be a physical role as sometimes youll carry out multidrop deliveries.
Daily driving duties complying with all legal obligations and company procedures
A to B Trunking work
Conducting daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate records
Yard duties as required including preparing your wagon
Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times
Providing excellent customer service while interacting with clients
Youll be fully prepped and have a full induction before going out on any job

About you:
Ideally youll have previously worked as a multidrop HGV Class 1 Driver
Trustworthy
Local to Tuxford Newark Nottingham or be willing to commute
Youll also need:
To have held a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C/Class 1 driving license for at least 1 year (with a maximum of 6 penalty points)
An uptodate Driver CPC card and training
A valid digital Tachograph card
Excellent knowledge of Drivers hours regulations (this can also be explained in full)
To meet the shift availability requirements for this vacancy
Experience of taillift operation would also be beneficial but isnt essential.
