Summary:
The ASPCAs Community Engagement program based in New York City improves access to vital pet services by connecting pet owners to low or nocost veterinary care spay/neuter pet supplies surrender services and more. This is done through inhome visits case management and community events. Outreach and awareness level training to allied professional audiences like law enforcement and human service organizations is paramount to building the programs client base and conducting multiagency approaches to resolving interconnected human and animal welfare needs.
The Senior Manager Community Engagement (CE) will lead a team of four community engagement coordinators in building strong relationships with communitybased organizations (e.g. social services law enforcement faithbased organizations government agencies etc. facilitating new case referrals promoting our partnership with the NYPD increasing access to ASPCAs services through events across the five boroughs leading mobile grooming events and safely transporting NYPD animals to our hospital on 92nd street. The Sr. Manager will partner with community stakeholders and support development of strategic alliances to reach pet owners increase awareness of the ASPCAs services and compel petinclusive approaches to service delivery.
This position will be based at the Long Island City ASPCA office location. Work will take place throughout the five boroughs of NYC at various partner locations. This position may require a rotating schedule and must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to education training experience location business needs internal equity market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.
