Job Description

Travel Interventional Radiologic Technician

We are seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technician for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Newburyport Massachusetts 01950.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: FullTime 40 hrs/week Monday Friday 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start (depending on department needs)
  • Shift: 8hour shifts Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms biopsies and drain placements under the guidance of physicians.
  • Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields supplies and assist with contrast media injections.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients during procedures ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams including radiologists cardiologists and nursing staff.
  • Maintain accurate patient records procedure documentation and imaging data.
  • Follow all safety protocols including radiation protection measures.
  • Support and educate patients and their families before during and after procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is cleaned calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Adhere to all departmental policies procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Specialized training in Interventional Radiology (required).
  • Current ARRT registration (R) (required).
  • Valid Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License (required).
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (required).
  • Strong understanding of anatomy sterile technique and procedural protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
