Job Description
We are seeking an Interventional Radiologic Technician for a 13week travel/contract assignment in Newburyport Massachusetts 01950.
Job Details:
- Schedule: FullTime 40 hrs/week Monday Friday 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM start (depending on department needs)
- Shift: 8hour shifts Day Shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform interventional radiology procedures such as angiograms biopsies and drain placements under the guidance of physicians.
- Operate fluoroscopic and radiographic imaging equipment during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields supplies and assist with contrast media injections.
- Monitor and evaluate patients during procedures ensuring safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams including radiologists cardiologists and nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records procedure documentation and imaging data.
- Follow all safety protocols including radiation protection measures.
- Support and educate patients and their families before during and after procedures.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned calibrated and functioning properly.
- Adhere to all departmental policies procedures and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Specialized training in Interventional Radiology (required).
- Current ARRT registration (R) (required).
- Valid Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License (required).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required).
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification (required).
- Strong understanding of anatomy sterile technique and procedural protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills.
