The Vattenfall Staff Function IT is an international unit within the Vattenfall Group. We are a fullservice IT provider. Our IT services range from process and application consulting to software development implementation projects and the operation of IT applications. Your job as Automation Engineer
IT plays a crucial role within Vattenfall to enable our transition to fossil freedom and secure stable operations. Automation has an essential part in this journey. We rely on you as our Automation Engineer to allow IT operations within Vattenfall to be on top of the change!
As Automation Engineer you will be in charge of developing and operating our Automation Platforms. You will take care of planning building and running Automated solutions and its relevant infrastructure.
Furthermore you will:
- Support in transformation/implementation of business needs/requirements into automation solutions
- Act as single point of contact for technical concerns related to our automation platform
- Participate in oncall shifts for high available automated workflows
- Run automation platform upgrades & migrations

Qualifications :
Who are we looking for
As experienced Automation Engineer you at least bring:
- Academic degree or a comparable training with several years of experience
- Administrative skillset for ASO & AWA Platforms (Automic Products)
- Strong experience using trending scripting languages such as PowerShell JavaScript Java Python Perl
- Businessfluent in English (oral and written)
Furthermore ideally you bring some of the following knowledge:
- Experience in using YAML is a merit
- Experience of administration of web servers (Apache Apache Tomcat)
- Skills on Integration Module creations using Webservices
- Handle Vendor Support Interactions
- Automation Workflow creation with Business Logic
- Knowledge & Exposure to Data Center Technologies & Automation
