Job Description
Balsam Brands is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to assist in managing our Balsam Hill Studio retail store at Whalers Village in Lahaina HI. In this role you will have the opportunity to help ensure that our customers experience the magic of Balsam Hill in an inspired holiday setting.
The Assistant Store Manager will work side by side with the Store Manager to create a positive work environment that ensures customer satisfaction maximizes productivity and drives sales. From providing excellent customer experiences maintaining inventory to hiring and training staff the Assistant Store Manager will play a crucial role in the success of Balsam Hill Studio. We are especially excited about candidates who have a proven track record of retail success and creating customercentric shopping experiences!
What youll do:
- Assist customers and provide top notch service to ensure all patrons leave satisfied
- Maximize retail revenue while providing leadership the store team
- Perform opening/closing routines
- Ownership over store inventory as well as offsite inventory storage
- Lead replenishment of merchandise as well as ship from store routines
- Protect company assets and minimize loss by ensuring all store standards and operating procedures are met including workplace safety risk management merchandise management and loss prevention
- Support Store Manager as needed with sales reports and delegation of tasks
- Lead replenishment of merchandise as well as ship from store routines
- Lead basic tech troubleshooting (POS devices printers) and ensures timely escalation to minimize downtime
- Communicate and provide feedback to corporate counterparts in partnership with Store Manager
What you bring to the table:
- 3 years of retail experience preferred
- 1 year of management experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with customers and sales staff
- Demonstrated time management organizational and multitasking skills
- Passion for exemplary service
- Great sales skills: retail sales experience a strong plus
- Proficiency with iPads basic computer skills and basic data entry (data entry very minimal overall)
- Flexibility: willingness to perform other various duties as required
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work onsite for every shift
- May assemble and disassemble Christmas trees and other decorations
- May lift and or move items up to forty pounds
- May be required to clean interior windows including using a ladder when necessary following all safety guidelines
Notes:This is a fulltime inperson position. The targeted start date for this role is May 2025. Candidates must live onisland in Maui.

Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors including geographic location experience skills alignment with role requirements and other jobrelated factors.
