Job Description
Summary of Position
Join our team at Brand Addition as a Junior Merchandiser where you will learn the ropes of effective merchandising and the promotion products industry. This enthusiastic product and trend specialist will help some of the worlds largest brands build their promotional product assortments to help drive their internal and external brand engagement. Youll have the opportunity to contribute ideas and learn from experienced professionals while getting the chance to manage and grow your own clients. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to dive into the world of merchandising with opportunities to develop and advance in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of promotional products and the industry
- Lead development of product ranges for small medium sized clients which includes product sourcing pricing sampling and branding
- Product categories include apparel headwear bags drinkware office essentials home & outdoors electronics food & gifts as well as packaging and other categories
- Present product ranges both inperson and virtually to the client in item selection presentations throughout the year
- Assist other members of the Merchandising Team with data processing and ordering samples
- Utilize Brand Addition systems to accurately input product and supplier information into our database and ERP system
- Work closely with the Account Management and Inventory Buying teams to meet client needs deadlines and expectations for product
- Help with onsite vendor visits manage the calendar send out invites assist and chaperone vendors while at the office
- Be knowledgeable or have the ability to learn about key product safety guidelines that are critical to the product compliancy. Examples include but are not limited to:CPSIA Prop 65 UL testing REACH Country of Origin Harmonized Tariff Schedule and others
- Work in tandem with global Brand Addition offices to ensure product cohesion across sites
- Attend supplier meetings at the office and industry trade shows throughout the year
- Any other tasks that are deemed necessary to reach the goals of the department
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Merchandising Business Fashion or related field (preferred)
- 23 years experience in merchandising marketing or a related field (preferred)
- Strong interest in merchandising visual presentation and consumer behavior
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Detailoriented mindset with a creative flair for design and visual aesthetics
- Ability to work proactively with a sense of urgency in a fastpaced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take initiative when needed.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to skill development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint Excel Word)
