Job Description

Shape the future of Maths education in our ambitious Havering school as a Lead Practitioner!

We are seeking an exceptional and innovative Maths teacher ready to take the next step in their career. As Lead Practitioner you will champion outstanding teaching and learning drive curriculum development and inspire colleagues across our Maths department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model and disseminate outstanding teaching practices in Maths.
  • Lead the development and implementation of an innovative and challenging Maths curriculum across all key stages.
  • Mentor and coach Maths teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills and subject knowledge.
  • Lead departmental CPD initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the Maths department and wholeschool improvement.
  • Research and implement best practices in Maths education.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • A proven track record of outstanding teaching in Maths across multiple key stages.
  • Experience in mentoring or coaching colleagues effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of the Maths curriculum and current educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills.
