Based in our Aiken SC location; you will be responsible to improve the manufacturing processes production layouts and material flow of our manufacturing plant through automation and/or engineering solutions.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the engineering team.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline processes reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Lead and manage Six Sigma projects to reduce variability and enhance product quality.
- Drive Kaizen events and initiatives to continuously improve production processes and employee engagement.
- Project Management:
- Oversee engineering projects from conception through implementation ensuring timely and costeffective delivery.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including production quality and maintenance to implement engineering changes and improvements.
- Process Optimization and Technical Support:
- Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity efficiency and safety.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to maintain high standards of product quality and consistency.
- Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department. Define CAPEX budgets monitor report and control expenditure of the budget
- Identify costsaving opportunities through process improvements and technology enhancements.

For This Role You Will Need:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a related field such as industrial technology.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with at least 35 years in a leadership role.
- Indepth knowledge of control systems (PLC/PAC) ability to create programs/troubleshoot PLCs and/or automated assembly equipment.
- Strong analytical abilities to collect analyze and interpret data for informed decisionmaking and process improvement.
- Validated project management skills with the ability to complete projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong mechanical abilities troubleshooting experience with root cause analysis.
- Strong organizational ability communication (written and oral) interpersonal engineering drawing skills and computer skills including Auto CAD and/or CREO as well as Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Masters Degree Mechanical Electro Mechanical Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering preferred Operations Management Business or equivalent
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt Black Belt or Master Black Belt)
