Job Description
Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Williamsburg
Department: Grading
Reports to: Project Superintendent
Major Role and Purpose:
- Operates HeavyIndustrial Equipmentsuch as Dozers Excavators Backhoesor other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials such as dirt and gravel.
Description of Duties:
- Monitors the activity within the site.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of how to operate Heavy Industrial Equipment.
- Spread dirt in fill area.
- Clear and grub area being worked.
- Perform fine and rough grade operations.
- Run a fill area.
- Read slope stakes.
- Cut slope to the jobs specifications (type of slope ditch cut depths and fill section heights).
- Direct trucks and equipment where to offload stock or spread material loads.
- Dress and clean up job at the completion.
- Water oil grease service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
- Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends.
- Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
Education:
- High School DiplomaPreferred.
Preferred Experience:
- 35Years operating various Heavy Equipment.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Understand GPS grade control.
- Knowledge of grades.
