Job Location
San Diego CA. Onsite with possible occasional/parttime telecommuting. Minimal domestic travel required 15 of time and the opportunity for international travel 5 of the time.
Job Description
GALT Aerospace is looking for a Systems Engineer Integration and Test (SEIT) to join our team. In this position you will play a crucial role supporting the integration and test of networked communication systems. Your daytoday responsibilities will include the following:
- Develop and maintain technical documentation which includes test plans and procedures
- Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems
- Develop troubleshooting procedures and workaround documentation
- Conduct systems and subsystems testing
- Review and provide feedback on system specifications development test and network documents
- Install and configure Windows/Linux servers
- Set up and maintain DNS/Exchange/Active Directory
- Maintain virtual environments
- Deploy monitor and maintain network gear to include switches servers firewalls etc. and troubleshoot network related problems
- Capture and deploy system images
Required Skills Experience and Education
- 4 years of experience with testing networking or other IT related fields
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) computer and radio systems
- Working knowledge of routing switching protocols VLANs IP subnetting LAN WAN etc
- Must possess high proficiency in Linux and Windows
- Must have a highlevel understanding of automation and implementation.
- US Citizenship required with a minimum of an active Interim Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
Preferred Skills Experience and Education
- Working knowledge on network security devices (e.g. firewall NGFW IPS IDS)
- Working knowledge on event management systems (e.g. ISE Splunk SolarWinds)
- Tactical Data Link familiarity (e.g. CDL TTNT L16 SADL etc.
- Live field testing experience with military communication systems highly desired
- Automation scripting or other development experience in either Python or JavaScript
- Knowledge of Containerized Virtual Environments is highly desired
- Experience developing scripts in ansible is desired
- Demonstrate knowledge in using various testing methodologies Agile and Scrum and logging results using solutions such as JIRA and or Confluence
- Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic environment
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to carry 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours at a time
- Climb/descend work atop and traverse certain machinery
At GALT Aerospace base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $109000$145000 and a specific candidates base pay will depend on their skills qualifications experience and location.
