Description

Clean Harbors is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to join their safety conscious team in Edmonton AB! You will be required to complete daily rounds perform troubleshooting and basic repairs of a variety of appliances/ equipment inventory materials ordering preventative maintenance subcontractor coordination and basic repairs to the building and building systems at our Edmonton campus location. Please be mindful that this is a laborintensive position.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Performs preventative maintenance to buildings and appliances in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Regular Inspections (Monthly/Quarterly/Annually) of the mechanical systems electrical systems and critical infrastructure to ensure all systems are running at efficient standards
  • Focus on energy efficiency indoor air quality building cleanliness and aesthetics
  • Monitors and ensures that the systems that support the building are operational;
  • Possess the ability to research and find information to troubleshoot and maintain malfunctioning systems at the facility. Take proper measures to correct the issue(s);
  • Maintains sufficient inventory levels for continuous operation


Qualifications
  • Class 5 Drivers License required;
  • Ability to work on call when needed/ required;
  • Understands the functioning of all building systems in the region such as electrical mechanical HVAC fire/life safety building security and janitorial
  • 1 years experience with facility building maintenance and operations is an asset;
  • Working knowledge of carpentry plumbing electrical HVAC machinery etc.;
  • Possess good communication skills both written and oral with the ability to interact with clients;
  • Good computer skills.
