DescriptionClean Harbors inForest Lake MNis seeking aInsite Chemistto join our safety conscious team. This person would be responsible for assisting in the collection identification and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous and nonhazardous waste at our client site in Forest Lake MN.
- This position is NOT a laboratorybased position
- Valid Drivers License required
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Very physical with walking the majority of the day as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities- Pickup at hospitals health centers and clinics across the metro area.
- Prepare computergenerated packing lists labels manifests and land disposal restrictions notifications.
- Identify unknown laboratory chemicals when they are encountered.
- Perform inspections of staging accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
- Inspect storage area for leaks or spills.
- Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations.
- Collect segregate and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
- Utilize waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program.
- Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
- Maintain and manage waste profile data.
- Evaluate specialty waste materials such as Pharmaceuticals and batteries determining disposal options.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- Drivers License required;
- Science background is preferred;
- Lab Pack experience is preferred;
- 40 Hour OSHA RCRA and DOT preferred;
- Attention to detail able to take and follow direction and to perform multiple tasks;
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to interface with customers.
