Clean Harbors inForest Lake MNis seeking aInsite Chemistto join our safety conscious team. This person would be responsible for assisting in the collection identification and proper packaging and/or lab packing of hazardous and nonhazardous waste at our client site in Forest Lake MN.

• This position is NOT a laboratorybased position
• Valid Drivers License required
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Very physical with walking the majority of the day as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Pickup at hospitals health centers and clinics across the metro area.
• Prepare computergenerated packing lists labels manifests and land disposal restrictions notifications.
• Identify unknown laboratory chemicals when they are encountered.
• Perform inspections of staging accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance.
• Inspect storage area for leaks or spills.
• Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations.
• Collect segregate and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance.
• Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork.
• Utilize waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program.
• Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal.
• Maintain and manage waste profile data.
• Evaluate specialty waste materials such as Pharmaceuticals and batteries determining disposal options.

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Drivers License required;
• Science background is preferred;
• Lab Pack experience is preferred;
• 40 Hour OSHA RCRA and DOT preferred;
• Attention to detail able to take and follow direction and to perform multiple tasks;
• Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to interface with customers.
