Bellini at Mr. C Coconut Grove is looking to hire a Grill Cook to join our kitchen staff and maintain cleanliness around our restaurant.
This position has a competitive wage depending on experience. WHO WE ARE
From the fourth generation hospitality leaders brothers Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani comes Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove. YOUR ROLE AS A GRILL COOK
We are looking for Grill cooks that will be responsible for preparing and grilling foods to meet specific customer preferences and theyre often required to handle tasks in other areas of the kitchen in addition to their grill stations
Ultimately you will contribute to delivering a pleasant dining experience for our guests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Keeping track of meal prep components to ensure timely completion of final dishes
- Chopping and preparing vegetables and other nonmeat ingredients
- Stocking ingredients and kitchen supplies
- Maintaining clean and sanitized workstations
- Checking perishable ingredients and food items for freshness
- Understanding of portions when cutting and slicing meat poultry and seafood
- Comprehension skills when reading order tickets and recipes
- Handeye coordination when using kitchen tools and cooking utensils
- Taking daily measures to prevent food crosscontamination
- Maintain a clean station at all times
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
- Work experience as a Grill cook or similar role
- Willingness to work as a team player when preparing dishes and coordinating meal service
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly workspace and kitchen
- Handson experience with professional kitchen equipment
- Good knowledge of food plating techniques
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time when cooking and preparing food
- Willingness to work required shifts i.e. night shift breakfast rush including evenings and weekends
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
- A degree from a culinary school is a plus
