Job Description

George Fox University a Christcentered institution invites applications for parttime adjunct faculty positions within the College of Education Preliminary Teacher Licensure Programs. Adjunct faculty play a crucial role in delivering highquality instruction while fostering student engagement in a supportive Christian learning environment. Teaching opportunities may be available in undergraduate and graduate programs and vary by department and semester.

Job Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Teach courses in alignment with the universitys mission and learning objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies that promote student engagement.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance grades and student performance.
  • Utilize the universitys learning management system (Canvas and Google Classroom) for course management.
  • Maintain professionalism and adhere to university policies.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with others including employees students and the public in a spirit of teamwork respect and service.
  • Serve as a Christian role model to students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect appreciation and humility.

We Are Looking for Candidates Who Have:


Preference will be given to those who have the following attributes:

  • Professional experience in the field related to the subject being taught.
  • Previous teaching experience in higher education.
  • Familiarity with online and hybrid teaching modalities.

Salary and Rank:

  • Adjunct faculty are compensated on a percredithour basis commensurate with education and experience.

Job information:

  • Primary Work Location: Newberg OR (or as specified by the hiring department).
  • Working Conditions: Teaching may occur inperson online or hybrid format depending on departmental needs.
  • Supervisor: Department Chair or Program Director.
