Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager TailSpend !

In this role you will be working in Tail Spend analysis.

Responsibilities

Tail Spend Analysis and Segmentation:

o Analyze tail spend data to identify patterns opportunities and risks.

o Develop and implement strategies to optimize tail spend.

o Segment tail spend by category volume and frequency for focused management.

Procurement Process Optimization:

o Standardize and streamline purchasing processes for lowvalue highfrequency items.

o Implement process improvements to reduce inefficiencies and manual processes.

o Automate and digitize tail spend transactions wherever possible to improve visibility and control.

Supplier Management:

o Develop and manage relationships with tail spend suppliers.

o Negotiate contracts for nonstrategic purchases to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

o Work with key suppliers to drive cost reduction initiatives and improve service levels.

Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure that tail spend purchases comply with the organizations procurement policies and standards.

o Identify and mitigate risks associated with unmanaged or poorly managed tail spend.

o Establish and enforce guidelines to maintain compliance with ethical sourcing practices.

Reporting and Performance Metrics:

o Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor tail spend performance.

o Prepare regular reports on tail spend trends savings and supplier performance.

o Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of tail spend data.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

o Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. finance operations legal) to ensure tail spend management aligns with business objectives.

o Provide support and training to internal stakeholders on best practices in managing tail spend.

o Act as a liaison between departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient of tail spend strategies.

Continuous Improvement:

o Stay informed about market trends procurement best practices and industry benchmarks.

o Drive continuous improvement initiatives in tail spend management to ensure maximum value for the business.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

Education:

o Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management Procurement or related field.

o Professional certifications (e.g. CIPS CPSM) are added advantage.

Experience:

o Prior experience in managing tail spend is highly preferred.

o Experience with procurement systems supplier relationship management and spend analytics tools.

Skills:

o Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

o Proficiency in procurement software (e.g. SAP Ariba Coupa Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint).

o Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.

o Attention to detail and commitment to process improvement.
