About the Opportunity...
The Production Planner/Scheduler will be responsible for creating and maintaining production schedules that ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resources. This role will involve close collaboration with various departments including sales purchasing production and engineering to streamline operations and meet customer demands. The Scheduling Role in a job shop environment is a fastpaced dynamic and important role that requires a special type of person who thrives in juggling multiple priorities while keeping everything running smoothly!
Key Responsibilities...
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer orders and forecasted demand.
- Coordinate with purchasing to ensure the availability of materials.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to minimize downtime and delays.
- Collaborate with production team to ensure capacity planning aligns with operational goals.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and resource constraints.
- Prepare and present regular production status reports to management.
Qualifications...
- Minimum of 35 years of experience in production planning preferably in a job shop environment
- Bachelors degree in Operations Management Business Admin or a related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in production planning software
- Highly proficient in Office 365
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment
