ABOUT THE COURT
Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Courts 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4800 fulltime Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $1 billion. Located in Southern California Los Angeles County is geographically one of the nations largest counties covering 4752 square miles and with overresidents is also one of its most populous counties.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Principal Financial Analysts supervise professional and technical staff and are responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of highly complex financial administrative and organizational problems. Incumbents conduct and carry out highly complex analyses and studies on a wide range of financial budgetary and other organizational issues in support of the planning and of Court goals and objectives. Incumbents are expected to define and apply appropriate study methodologies utilize sound analytical tools and techniques and apply accepted project planning and management practices on largescale projects to ensure timely achievement of study goals and objectives. TELEWORK OPPORTUNITIES
This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period contingent upon the Courts needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
To qualify you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:
OPTION I: Graduation from an accredited fouryear college or university with a major in public or business administration public policy economics finance or a closely related field AND three 3 years of progressively responsible experience involving financial management analysis economic forecasting financial planning and/or implementation or governmental budget and finance analysis.
OPTION II: Three 3 years of progressively responsible experience involving financial management analysis economic forecasting financial planning and/or implementation or governmental budget and finance analysis AND additional four 4 years of recent experience providing complex analytical work in support of accounting financial statistical contract budget or other management analyses.
