SUMMARY: Responsible for implementing cultural program activities and the supervision of youth participating in the Boys & Girls Club of the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska. The Site Manager is tasked with the goal of supervising Youth Development Professionals and ensuring quality programming and proper youth supervision. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each primary responsibility satisfactorily. Focusing on culture; healthy lifestyles leadership and relationships with caring adults.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Assist CEO to implement daily activities and schedules track attendance; plan and provide ageappropriate activities meaningful cultural projects games and free play; prepare give and record daily snacks.
- Meet daily with CEO and other program staff to prepare for shift
- Oversee and lead activities designed to enhance the health emotional social intellectual and physical development of children with a cultural aspect enrolled in the Club.
- Ensure the safety of the children enrolled in the program at all times
- Ensure all rules are being followed and enforced fairly and consistently according to policy and procedure
- Strong communication skills (oral written and presentation) and organizational habits
- Leadership in problem solving and decision making & resolving student situations behavioral emotional and first aid
- Maintain professional relationships with the children parents and coworkers and treat all with respect and dignity
- The ability to exercise tact and handle information that is confidential sensitive or controversial; exercise authority in problems relating to youth; and utilize guidance and discipline plan.
- The ability to work and plan independently
- Ensure that general housekeeping is performed and completed so that the site is left clean and ready for the net program/day.
- Experience or a strong desire to work with schoolaged children in a programmed setting
- Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments.
- Other duties as assigned
RELATIONSHIPS:
- Internal: Maintain close daily contact with site professional staff to guide interpret explain and plan organizational mission program objectives and standards discuss issues and provide/receive information. Maintain regular daily contact with youth to offer program activities and to discipline advise and counsel.
- External: Maintain contact with external community groups schools community partners parents and others to assist in resolving problems and to publicize program.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning supervising leading and engaging in activities based on the developmental needs of young people or equivalent experience
- Knowledge and experience practicing cultural activities
- Supervision experience
CERTIFICATES LICENSES and/or REGISTRATIONS:
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or within 6 months of hire).
- Drivers license preferred
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision facilities management and the recruitment and retention of key personnel
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to recruit train supervise and motivate staff
- Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems
- Working knowledge of budget preparation control and management
- Skilled at fundraising events
- Demonstrated ability in working with young people parents and community leaders.
