TITLE: Accountant & Software Specialist REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer CLASSIFIED: Full Time Exempt MISSION: To enable all young people especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive caring responsible citizens. JOB SUMMARY: To perform duties involving donation entry monthly billing deposits accounts payable reconciliations and other duties needed to assist the Chief Finance Officer. Provide technology and software support to program and resource development staff. To perform necessary bookkeeping functions and procedures in accordance with accepted accounting standards and principles. Create reports in program resource development and financial management software for staff and board use. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Management: - Attend and participate in all staff meetings & leadership team meetings.

Administrative: - Managing feebased billing process data entry payments parent correspondence and collections
- Manage CCA tracking and state billing working with families and reporting.
- Post daily deposits in accounting software and take deposits to the bank as needed.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of the Club bank accounts when it doesnt conflict with the Clubs checks and balances.
- Perform other necessary bookkeeping functions and procedures.
- Enter and print accounts payable invoices provide status on any prepaid bills mail checks and file support documentation.
- Manage the Boys & Girls Club credit card process transaction entry and reconciliation.
- Record all donations in donor software produce receipt letter and manage the reports of the donor system for the Club.
- Assist with pledge processing tracking outstanding pledges and work with RD department on collections of pledges.
- Special Event (including Willie Mac & Raffle) financial assistance tracking and guidance for future budgeting planning and results.
- Provide support for the membership tracking system in all Units.
- Provide technological support with the teams as needed.
- Assist with technology and equipment log management and tracking of devices.
- Assist in updating upgrading and reporting out of the donor management system member tracking systems and accounting software.
- Assist in grant management tracking and reporting both external and internal for the team.
- Assist with yearend audit data collection & preparation of BGCA Annual Report
- Lead and manage shortterm special projects for the Club in areas of finance or RD.
Program: - Keep knowledgeable of current Club programs and procedures.
- Keep knowledgeable of and pass on any parent concerns to appropriate manager.
- Upkeep and accuracy of licensed membership records in software and in hard copy files.
Other: - Participation in Clubwide events as determined necessary by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned. BGCNP reserves the right to change responsibilities and tasks as needed.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS: - Preferred bachelors degree in accounting or finance or an associate degree in accounting.
- Preferred two years of experience in finance or bookkeeping.
- Preferred experience in Excel and Blackbaud Salesforce Paycor software systems.
- Positive attitude proactive approach and the ability to multitask.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be of the mental and physical capacity to observe interact and communicate with youth staff volunteers parents etc. at the Club.
- Ability to stand/sit for long periods throughout a shift.
- Ability to operate various types of general office equipment including PC telephone copier etc.
- This position is considered to be safetysensitive.
